Steel Pan concert at Hollins

Another cool part of Hollins is their Steel Pan. There is a professor who teaches steel pan there, and the number of students involved have been increasing every year. I love the sound of steel pan, and I thought this out-door concert they had on campus was so cool, so I am sharing some clips from it below! p.s. I was clearly too tired to think about my outfit-for-the-day. (←like I ever really think about it, but... lol)

Clip 1: Coni (from Liberia) and I dancing to the pans. I look like I've never danced before. lol (1min 20sec.)

Clip 2: Another clip with me enjoying the concert, and also eating ice cream. Ayaka (from Japan) was taking the videos, and you can hear us talking/joking around. (39sec.)

Everyone had a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, I didn't know this, but apparently it's rude not to dance when steel pan is being played!!!!

These are the short clips. It took too long to post the long ones, so I will post them on another post!

Trinkets ;-)

Super K often goes for a walk during the day, and, whenever she finds something cool, she brings it back to the room, and add it to our Trinkets Collection. :-) Below is robins' egg shells that Super K and her friend found the other day.
We've found some cool and fun stuff all over campus. It's amazing how many fun things you can find around here.
So, will it be too much to say, there are some good things that comes with my habit to look down when I walk? lol

Look, Look, Look!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I came back in my room today feeling a bit beat... As I leaned on the window seal for some nice breeze, below is what I found!!!!!!! More than half of the newly planted Zinnia seeds are now sprouts!! I was SOOOO excited when I saw this.
