Chapel

One of the benefits of being a work study in the chapel is the different music that you can hear through out the day. Because of the great acoustics in the chapel, many music students use the space for practise and personal lessons. Today was a professor playing, my favorite, the pipe organ.

3 colored rice!!! yumm...♡

Economics

Studying for Economics around midnight. I actually like this class. The teacher is always very excited about economics, and he makes it sound more exciting than it really is, I think...lol

I learned that understanding the concept and actually applying it to real life situations are two different things... Also, this class makes me extremly hungry. You will see why.↓

...Focus, Naomi. Focus!!!

This year, the efficiency of growing potatos increased, which increased the quantity supplied without increasing the prise/cost, so there are more french fries made, which raise the quantity demanded for ketchap. Rice and potatos are similar (?), so if more potatos are available chaper, the quantity demended for rice will decrease. If ice cream is chaper, you are more likely buy more ice cream and less frozen yogurt. However, if you really really like frozen yogurt, the cost wouldn't matter.

So, wait... What's my point again?? ARGGGGGGG.....

happy b-day Super K!!

Yesterday, February 16th, was my roommate, Kathryn's, Birthday. She has the type A flue now, and was a little sad that she had to go to the clinic on her birthday. Poor girl...

Some of her friends came to visit her, sang happy birthday, and had some cake to cheer her up. Everyone except for myself are either music major or in the choir. I can't remember the last time I heard the happy birthday song being sang so beautifully. lol

We didn't have any candles, so we lit matches instead. To avoid the flue from spreading, Kathryn used the Hollins fan to blow out the matches.

Three reasons why my Economics teacher doesn't give flowers to his wife on Valentine's day...

  1. Whenever a boy/guy/man gives you flower(s), that is usually because they are feeling guilty about something.
  2. I (my econ teacher) love and treat my wife in a special way everyday while many others might try to squeese the love into one day and make it up for the whole year.
  3. As an economist, I (my econ teacher) know that a week from now, all of those beautiful flowers will be much chaper/unexpensive than its price now.

Valentine's Day

Messege left by Super K on our door... \(^v^)/

An alternative use of the AC...

The unmatching line of socks might make you think that this is my collection of socks, but it's not. For some reason, only one of each pairs of my roomie's socks came out dried in the dryer. So, she has one dry and one wet sock for each pair right now.
No one knows why some socks dried and others didn't, but I guess we'll all know what to do if it does happen again (= picture).
Talking about laundry, I should probablly do mine soon, too...lol

Dear all smallville + Superman fan

flashback 03 ~Wii night @ the wiles'~

Mark & Brenda invited friends over for baked potatos/Wii night. Though some games seemed stressful for few people, (I think) we all enjoyed the competition. lol

get those lips goin'

Flashback 02 ~Smallville night~

Last week was the new episode that EVERYONE has been waiting for. Friends gather together to enjoy not only Smallville, but also hanging out and chat. However, when it's a new episode, there are no chatting allowed during smallville. Yes, it's a serious matter.

flashback to the holidays 01 ~American Idol night~

Hello. I apologise for not posting for a while. My roommate thought that I might have dropped off from the face of the earth. lol Well, I'm alive and well, as usual, and back at Hollins University. I will be doing some flashback posts here and there to share some of the things that happened during the holidays, so I hope you will stop by once in a while to check it out!!

After my NY trip for school, (pictures will be posted later on) I stayed with the Hill's in NC and worked/relaxed.
Pics are from American Idol nights. Oliver enjoyed his special treat of the day. He will stand like this for a long time for something he really really wants. He's like a kid that never grows up... lol
