Vegas ~Hotel MGM~

My family is in the US now, and we are spending some time together in Vegas and Phoenix, AZ. Above are some pictures in Vegas.
The top-left is a view of vegas city from our hotel room in the morning. It looks like a normal city during the day. The top-right is the Harley shop. I just had to take a picture of that motor cycle coming through that wall!! lol Bottom-left is my brother, Carl, and my sister, Tamachi, trying to wind down for the day. You can tell that it's not really working. They are wild, all right... And the last picture is the loby of the hotel. It's all grand and shiny!! lol
Over all, my family has agreed that Vegas is a bit too crazy for us. We will be spending some time there later this week, but that will probablly be enough for a while ;-)

dance life update...

Hello. How is everyone? It'a starting to get really cold over here in Virginia.
For those who might not know me well, I dance. I have done many different dance styles, but I am mainly focusing on modern/contemporary dance now. It's hard to explain this style, so I recommend you to try to see it if you are interested.
For dancers, floor burns (left top pic), blisters (right bottom pic), and splits are common, especially on our feet. It's painful and my feet is nowhere close to beauty, floor burns have been repeated so much that it's permanent like a stain, and muscle pains are a daily thing. But, if I was to choose one body part that I like the most, it will be my feet because it reminds me how important this dream means to me and how much effort I have been putting into it.
Stay warm.

7am Jogging!!

My jogging partner, Debra, and I after jogging this morning. We learned that we should ware more than a light long sleeve shirt and sweat pants when it's below freezing outside...lol
Look who likes bunny ears, too!!lol

at CVS...

I went Good Will shopping with Virgie Sunday evening.
After being disapointed by the early closing time at GoodWill, we stopped by at CVS to get some sour gummy warms and york peppermint patties, our favorite snacks. While we were there, we also enjoyed walking through the candy iles, smelling the candles, exploring shades, and, most of all, going through the funny birthday cards.

The 1st picture is the cover of a card that were our personal favorite.

The 2nd picture is what it looks like inside. Look at what it says...

It says, "Good thing your face never froze like that. Happy Birthday, Daughter."

That's so mean!!! lol

After our fun adventure at CVS, we both walked back to Hollins. It was great to hang out with another believer and to just enjoy our simple conversation :-)

in the moody cafeteria...

The building that has the cafeteria is actually called "Moody."
p.s. Was it my mom who more than once told me, "Don't play with your food!!"lol

Tinker Day

Students and teachers are surprised by the announcement in the morning that all the class that day is cancelded on Tinker Day. We all dressed as crazy as we can and clime Tinker mountain together!!
Tuesday started with Tinker Scare at 2:00am and 6:00am... For those who don't know what Tinker Scare is, it's a tradition done by the Seniors during September and early October during the night. It's called Tinker Scare because everyone is looking forward to Tinker Day and the Seniors get to scare/disapoint students by announcing fake Tinker day... They will dress crazily and come running down the dorm hallways banging on pots and pans, screaming "Tinker Scare!!!!" It wakes ME up, so you can imagine how loud they are...

Disturbia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK. I know I don't do well with horror movies. The last horror movie I saw was "The Ring", Japanese version, when I was 15. I know I can't sleep well afterwards and I know it makes me very nervous. But, I thought this won't be as bad as other horror movies... Well, I was holding on to my friend the whole time, told myself to leave at least 10 times (but too scared to walk back alone in the dark), screamed at not only the movie, but also at everybody else's scream, etc. You get the picture.

I got back to my room, and Kathryn isn't here... I'm actually doing pretty good. The ending was great. All problems solved, love is there, laugh is there, all good.

...Though I don't understand why I keep checking behind my back............?!?!?!

just a little clumzy moment...

OK. Guess what just happened.

I went to the laundry room to do my laundry (of course). I poured out a cup of Purex 100 OZ liquid laundry detergent, put my clothes in the machine, paid $1.25, pushed the start button, and grabbed my stuff to go back to my room. I've been waiting to do my laundry for about a week, and I was so excited that I got started on it, till I heard a splash. I looked down and there it was. A big blue pond of laundry detergent. Apparently, I forgot to close the lid.

Surprise....

After I cleaned up, I sat by the window and saw the "magnetic sculpture" that Gail & TJ sent me for my birthday, so I made a "magnetic metal aloe." Pretty good, isn't it? lol

Jeff the snake Jr. !! lol

Yesterday, I found a tiny snake taking a nap by the cafeteria. I got so excited, I sat by him for about 30 minutes talking to him. I wasn't brave enough like Gail to actually touch him, but he made my day!!! :-)

Wouldn't it be ironic if Jeff was the owner of that snake skin I found the other day?!?! lol
