thoughts of today...

Hello, everyone. Hope thing are well.

I always like to post pictures for every post, but I haven't been able to find any good pics. So, today's post is picless.

I'm back at Hollins doing my thing now. Dancing, studying, Choreographing, being challenged, missing home, missing friends, and on and on... After the trip to Florida, the dance department seems to have gotten closer than before. I have definitely gotten closer to everyone, and I feel like I'm starting to find my place and comfort at this place.

Spring Dance is coming up in about a month. This dance concert is put together by undergraduates with a little help of the department. I might be able to show my own work, which would be very very exciting!!! You can tell that everyone is working their hardest, and I think these are the times we really bond and find true friendship... :)

p.s. It's getting really warm here in Roanoke. It feels like Spring is finally here. I hope it's nice at where ever you are at, too!!

Pic 1) Smelly Drink!!! It is really BAD. REALLY REALLY BAD. To figure out what it is, enlarge the picture by clicking on it. Oh, that was just...BAD.
Pic 2) At a pizza place. Lionaldo's, my friends and I stopped for dinner. The logo of this pizza store stood out to us, so we took a picture of the ones on the cups. Very very good pizza.

Adventure at the mall...

Virgie and I went window shopping 2 weekends ago. Honestly, I wasn't up for it. Malls, shopping, a lot of people, dresses, and hills... Everything I am not a big fan of, or not used to. Once we got to the mall, Virgie picked out some dresses, and took me to the fitting room. I thought to myself, "this can't be too bad. Dresses are another form of clothing..." I decided to pull myself together and go with the flow. My initial question toward the dresses hanging in front of me was, "How do you get into these things...?" lol

Pic 1) The 1st dress I tried on. My comment, "Not bad." I actually liked the simple design.
Pic 2) The 2nd dress. I think my face explains it all...lol
Pic 3) The 1st hiss I tried on. Before I say anything else, I just have to say, "it's such a good feeling when you can find female shoes that fits me perfectly that is not the biggest/super size in the store." lol

Pic 4) I feel like a queen... Elegant, but not quite my personality. I still like it, though.
Pic 5) Because of the strap, I felt like I was wearing the dress backwards. lol But, another dress that I liked.
Pic 6) Cute hills in another shoe store.

Pic 7) My favorite dress out of all that I tried on. I called it the "dreamgirls dress" because of how it's shaped. tight around the hip, but then opens up like a flower toward the bottom.
Pic 8) Apparently everything goes well with apples... We bought a snickers covered apple and slitted on the way back to school.
Pic 9) And yes, I felt totally beat after all of this. Almost fell a sleep in the mall... I tried on close to 15 dresses, 10 hills, and walked around in the mall about 3-4 hours. But, I have to admit, I had a lot of fun!! lol

Went for a walk and took a break. Nothing special. Just goofing off and laughing about everything. These are the times that really makes the memories juicy, though.
